I’m a film editor with many years of editing experience in documentary film and series with the focus on cinéma vérité and stories of social and environmental importance. The topics of my work have ranged from mental health, childhood cancer research, climate change, and outdoor sports to immigration, criminal justice, presidential campaigns, and the collapse of the USSR, among many others. While my passion is non-fiction storytelling, I have also worked extensively on narrative films, branded content, and NGO videos. My work has screened at Sundance, Berlin International Film Festival, Tribeca, the UN Headquarters in NYC, and the White House, aired on PBS, Fox Sports, Disney Channel, and SyFy, and received the Peabody, Gotham, and Alfred I. duPont–Columbia University Awards.
Being fluent in English, Latvian, Spanish, and Russian has opened the doors for me to edit films of the utmost importance in today’s geopolitical and social climate.
As an editor with a deep knowledge of film directing and producing, I have also worked on location in Latvia, Canada, UK, Russia, and India.
I have a BA in Film and Media Arts from Temple University, and I live in the Greater Philadelphia area. If I don’t edit, I like to ski, rock climb, watch movies, and plan the next trip somewhere on the globe off the beaten path.
